Yet another Tibetan monastic self-immolates and dies Posted: 19 Feb 2012 08:00 AM PST On Friday, a 38 year-old Tibetan monk of Bongthak Ewam Tare Shedrup Dhargey Ling Monastery in the Tsongon region of Amdo self-immolated. Dhamchoe Sangpo, who died from his injuries, was protesting recent restrictions imposed on the monastery; he had previously studied at Drepung Gomang Monastery in India from 1994 to 1997.
