Coming in the Fall 2012 magazine: “Traces of Kobun”

Zen teacher Kobun Chino Roshi died 10 years ago this summer, trying to rescue his young daughter from drowning. In our forthcoming Fall 2012 magazine, which hits newsstands next week, we remember him with a selection of his teachings and calligraphy, and a tribute from his student, Shoho Michael Newhall.

In the meantime, here's "Earthquakes and Blossoms Appear," a selection of Kobun's teachings that originally appeared in the newsletter of Jikoji Zen Retreat Center in Los Gatos, California, and was published in the Winter 2002 issue of Buddhadharma.
