Have you ever dreamed of becoming well-known and respected as an authority? The digital age has now made this possible for anyone.
As you know, our world is changing fast. One of the quiet revolutions is the rise of eBooks.
New figures show that 20% of book sales in the US now consist of digital books. Yes, printed books are on the way out.
What that means for us as consumers is that books are becoming a lot cheaper and that were going to save a lot of trees in the process. But lets take a look at what this might mean for potential authors.
It means that these days everyone has a chance to write and publish an Ebook. Its easy, and its agood source of income too. Its also the fastest way to fame and fortune.
Imagine having an eBook available for sale that continues to generate income for years and years. You do the work once, and are then rewarded with ongoing, automatic income. All you need to do is to bank the money.
Why YOU could write an Ebook
You have experience and knowledge that would be helpful to others. But you may not be aware of it. Its like carrying a treasure around without knowing it.
You may feel daunted by a crucial question
Do I have anything to say?
If you wonder whether you have anything worthwhile to say, you are not alone! I felt like that too before I wrote my first book.
The weird thing is that we are blind to our own strength. I mean, whatever you have to offer is most likely hidden from you.
Why?
Because what we know about seems natural to us. It seems so natural that we think everybody would know about it. Let me give you an example
What did you learn from your experience?
Im sure you learned a lot, right?
Now imagine all the people who are just heading towards a similar life-changing event. Dont you think they would benefit from your experience?
Of course they would! They might even want to pay for your information, because
What we all want is hindsight in advance.
Thats why your experience and the lessons you learned would be valuable for others.
You can also base an eBook upon knowledge.
But what about knowledge?
Do you have knowledge that would be useful for others? Lets put it to the test. Here is a sample list of topics. Which ones do you know something about?

- How to create low-cost meals
- How to create a garden
- How to grow vegetables
- How to clean a car ready for sale

The list could go on for ever!
Let me give you an example of how your knowledge could help others (and how you could turn it into ongoing income).
Imagine for a moment that youre a cat person and have had cats as pets for a while. Just imagine how much knowledge you would have acc! umulated over time. If I were to ask you how to feed a cat, or how to train a cat to use a litter box, or when you should take your cat to the vet I bet you would have a lot to say.
Whatever your interest or experience is, you will have accumulated a lot of knowledge and experience but it will seem natural to you. It may seem of little significance. But every day there are people just starting out. In relation to my example, there are a lot of people who have just go their first cat and want to know how to care for it. And they they may happily pay for the information you could provide.
A question that may stop you
Is my writing good enough?
The good news is that you dont have to be a top-notch writer to create a successful eBook. There are many low-cost freelance editors out there who can take what you write and shine it up for you. The whole eBook thing is a lot easier than you think.
I found that the best way to learn to write is by doing it. The act of writing helps you to improve the way you express yourself.
How to start?
There are really two different stages of preparation. The first stage is where you boost your creativity and collect ideas. I use to allow my ideas to flow freely. The next stage is to create a framework of chapters.
