Minimalist fitness: use your kids as a gym

Im a large subscriber to regulating whatever we can find to work out: pullups upon trees, chuck large boulders, flip logs or large tires, burst over things, sprint up mountainous country (see Minimalist Fitness, part 1 & part 2).

As a parent as well as a minimalist, Id similar to to share my idealisation minimalist examination secret: my kids have been my gym.

Fellow parents, if youre not we do this yet, we cant suggest it rarely enough. How have been they my gym? Instead of profitable hundreds of dollars (even thousands) a year for a gym, we make make make use of of of my kids to get in shape.

How? Every approach we can, though heres a few:

Awesomer than a gym

So because is this so awesome?

1. We bond. Instead of spending time divided from a kids at a gym, we spend time with them. And get a good examination in via a day. Its two birds, a single stone, saving time whilst helping me bond with my kids.

2. Work becomes play. Its not exercise, its not a work! out, its *play*. And thats a total opposite ballgame. Play is fun, its challenging, its easy, as well as yet its a good approach to get in shape.

3. No cost. OK, kids arent poor though we have them anyway, so because not make make make use of of of them? Im saving income as well as removing fit thats all kinds of win.

4. Im being a role model. Kid sense most of all from what they see others doing, especially their parents. You can discuss it them things all day long, though unless they see we you do it, youre not teaching them much. When we go to a gym, they dont see us working out.
