Poking Holes In The Busy Mind

I don't have any brand new art to show due to a accumulation of distractions so we will do a small shameless shilling for a small of a legal holiday cards we have posted to Etsy. And that's all we wish to say about that.

As we worked away this sunrise clearing out a kitchen cupboards, which will be private tomorrow to have approach for brand new ones, we became wakeful of a subtle (no maybe it wasn't all which subtle!) tension. It was this tendency to rush. we need to get this finished as well as afterwards which finished as well as how about a next thing, blah blah blah! There was my thoughts chasing me around similar to a horrid small boss, not even in sell for smallest wage. Mid swish of a plate cloth, we stopped, remembering to only suffer a pleasantness of doing. we satisfied we do this a lot, think of a prolonged list of things which need doing, often insignificant things in a grand scheme scenario. It creates a palpable tragedy in a body, steals a present impulse as well as sucks a joy right off a bone (that's a curtsy to all you turkey eaters out there!)

It reminded me of a Pema Chodron video clip which I'd seen out there upon a web (maybe over during Mind Deep) where Ani Pema talks about this nervous state of wanting to get upon to a next thing. She talked about how she even experienced this unsettled feeling when she was upon a solitary shelter where there was nothing which indispensable to be finished next! So which is a state of a ego, a thoughts regularly puffing up it's critical small self, formulating a story of this or that. It is a robe of mind, which we can dissolve by pouring our recognition upon to it. But is there some-more as well it? Is this a mind's distraction to prop itself up, to keep us away from our real work, which is to chip away during our ego formed identity, to turn this small self from a solid, inspired being int! o a thin ner some-more fragile murky creature, poked full of holes, a ghost of swiss cheese. Or am we upon to a small arrange of spiritual conspiracy theory?
